The Institute for Sales Transformation (iST) held their inaugural iST SalesLive event this past week and selected Miami as the first city. Here are our thoughts on the program and key takeaways from iST Co-Founder Matthew Raynor.

We chose Miami because once we started to have conversations with some key sales thought leaders they all remarked how South Florida had been neglected in recent years for sales education and meetups. We are very proud of the choice we made to have Miami be the first stop on our national conference series. The connections and conversations we had were second to none.

In total the event featured 26 thoughts leaders who joined us from all over the United States & Canada including: Florida, New York, Georgia, Washington DC, Illinois, Colorado, California, Maryland, Toronto, Nevada, and Texas.

Topics shared included: Igniting Your Own Sales Transformation, Social Selling, AI for Sales, Putting Your Best Foot Forward During the Most Critical Steps of the Buying Process, Account Planning Strategies, The Evolution of the Inside Sales Team, Hypergrowth, Driving Results Through Trust-Based Relationships, Deal Acceleration Strategies, Discovery Strategies, Change Velocity, Negotiation, Hiring New Sellers, Developing the Perfect Sales Compensation Plan, Debriefing Sales Calls, Speaking with Clarity & Confidence, and so much more.

As I sat in the room full of sales executives and professionals it become crystal clear and reaffirmed what we at iST have been saying since we launched the company: “Sales has transformed more in the last 5 years than the previous 50 years.” Looking across the room at the solution providers who lined the walls of the main session room you saw such innovative companies who are literally at the forefront of transforming the sales industry. Company’s like: PandaDoc, IBM, ConnectandSell, Gong, QuotaPath, Brainshark, and Kiite.

I plan to dive deep into each presentation and discussion that occurred over the two days of iST SalesLive Miami, but wanted to spend a few moments today to speak on just how incredible the content was at this inaugural event. Programs like these not only energize you as a sales professional, but shows you just all the wonderful things that are ahead for our profession.
